Case Study House #27

What if? The only Case Study House on the East Coast was never built. Now it is, with an AI Sidekick! As far as I can tell, nobody has ever taken it on like this. I've wanted to do a personal project for a long time, and the Showcase deck release finally gave me the excuse. I'm obsessed with the Case Study Houses of the sixties, and this one always stood apart, unbuilt and geographically out of place compared to the other CSH, with a modular logic I liked. Case Study House 27, by Campbell and Wong. My subject for driving AI as a sidekick through it all. Building the house, producing the final images, and more. I started with Claude Code on Fable 5. Then GPT-6 Astra arrived, and my feed filled up with "watch me build this from one image." Now that I've done it for real, I can tell you it is not that simple. And feeding it photos of a finished building misses the point. I want to build from drawings. From sketches. From BIM models. In a way that holds up in our field. Drawings in. Photographs out. That's the problem worth solving.
